10+ years and going strong
Since 2011 we have been teaching over 20 Pilates sessions each and every week! We are the leading local Pilates studio in the Wantage area, offering mat work & apparatus classes and private sessions for clients of all ages and abilities.
Our team is passionate, highly trained and dedicated to cultivating a fun, relaxed and supportive environment in the studio. In 2020 we celebrated success at the SME UK Enterprise Awards when we were awarded ‘Best Pilates Studio in Oxfordshire’.
The studio is led by Julia Trinder, an experienced Pilates instructor who has trained extensively with internationally renowned Pilates teachers. She participates annually in the teachings and methods of Rebekah Rotstein. She has undertaken specialised training outside the UK, in Paris & Florida. Julia ensures that classes are kept small, with only 2 to 4 people in a class – an unusual feature of her studio – which enables each client to make the most of the extensive knowledge offered by her highly trained and experienced team of instructors.
Why Pilates?
Pilates aims to strengthen the body and is widely recognised for its ability to improve core strength. A regular Pilates routine will improve your muscle tone, increase flexibility/stability, improve your balance/coordination and encourage better posture. It’s a safe and effective form of exercise that can be practised by almost everyone.
Why Reformer Pilates?
Put simply, you can do more on the Reformer. Using adjustable spring resistance and a sliding platform, the Reformer allows us to create resistance or instability to make exercises easier or harder – something that can’t be achieved on a mat. The versatility of the equipment also adds variety to a Pilates workout, whilst it’s clever design means that it has been virtually unchanged since it was patented in the 1920s.
